Guitarology

"Guitarology," a term coined by musician Omar Alkilani, represents a musical endeavor that fuses modern music with influences from Anatolian and Middle Eastern traditions. It embodies a unique approach to composition and performance, blending contemporary sounds with the rich cultural heritage of the region. Through "Guitarology," Alkilani aims to create a sonic tapestry that resonates with listeners on both emotional and cultural levels, inviting them on a journey of musical exploration and discovery.
Omar Alkilani did a tour in Turkey with Guitarology concept shows, performing in three cities and successfully completing over ten shows that embraced the Guitarology theme. In each Guitarology show, Omar featured special guest artists, enhancing the live experience. The Algerian artist Elamine Larba participated in several shows, the Kurdish saz player Can Osman contributed his unique sound, the Algerian artists Chazil and Wassim Mataoui added their distinct artistic flair, and the Syrian rapper Sayed Zain also joined the performances.
Additionally, Guitarology is the name of Omar Alkilani's live music album, where he took recordings from these Guitarology-themed concerts and published them as a live album titled "Guitarology."
A lot of media press covered "Guitarology," including the Syrian publication Enab Baladi, which wrote an article about Guitarology and even covered one of the Guitarology shows. Furthermore, Bahçeşehir podcast interviewed Omar Alkilani, discussing his innovative project "Guitarology."
