Platon | PORTRAIT OF A STRANGER

Omar Alkilani participated in the "Portrait of a Stranger" project by renowned American photographer Platon, in collaboration with the UNHCR. This multimedia initiative, presented in English, includes both a documentary film and a series of portraits, honoring refugees worldwide and highlighting their desire for freedom, safety, respect, and belonging. In the project, Omar, who fled his country at age 14, shared his experiences and emotions about feeling like a stranger. Platon captured Omar's vulnerability and hope, emphasizing his dedication to peace and music. The project aims to bring awareness and humanize the refugee experience.
